Place the round paper plate on a rectangular piece of paper. Use the round plate to draw a round circle on the rectangular paper. Remove the plate and dive the circle into two left and right halfs by drawing a line from the top to the bottom. Now divide the circle again by drawing a line from left to right. You should have four equal quarters of your circle. Label the four quarters Vegetables, Protein, Fruits and Grains. Now draw a circle on the top right, next to the plate, and label that Dairy. This is the MYPLATE.gov healthy food plate.
